The "Devices" page is intended for management of media display points.
The page allows you to monitor current status of media display points, including project template playback status.
To add a media display point:
- Click the "Add device" button.
- In the window that opens, enter any name for the media display point to be added and click the "Add" button.
- Copy the code from the window that appears. You will need to enter it in the media display point in Addreality Player.
- After the code is copied, you may close the window.
- After the code is entered at the media display point, the latter will be connected to the platform and will become available for control from the Addreality Manager and Designer.
To delete a media display point:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Delete".
- Confirm deletion.
- The selected media display points will be deleted from the platform.
The "Devices" page enables you to group media display points by folders and tags.
To create a new folder:
- Click the "Add folder" button.
- In the window that opens, enter the folder name and click "Create".
- The folder will be added to the page.
- To change the folder’s name, open its context menu, select "Rename", then enter the new name in the window that opens and click "Rename". The folder will be renamed.
The page enables you to group elements located on it by folders. For instance, media display points can be put all in one folder. Or, folders can be nested into each other. To group elements, use one of the following actions:
- Drag the element you need – media display point or folder, to another folder, where you want it to be stored;
- using the "Select" button, select the elements you need, click the "Move" button, in the window that opens specify the destination folder;
- to move elements up one level use the procedure outlined above or drag the elements one by one to the "Back" button (only applicable when elements are not in the root folder).
Folders enable media display points management by group.
To delete a folder, open its context menu and select "Delete". The folder will be deleted from the platform with all media display points contained therein.
The page enables you to create new tags, tag and untag media display point.
The following statuses are displayed for each media display point:
- on, project is played (green);
- on, project is not played (blue);
- on, project template is absent (yellow);
- on, media display point error (red);
- off, or no connection (grey);
The current status of media display points is automatically recorded in logs at the "Monitoring" page.
This page enables you to adjust element icon size – larger or smaller. There is a dedicated tumbler for this.
The page enables you to simultaneously select several elements in order to perform group actions over them. To do it:
- Click the "Select" button.
- Select the content elements you need.
- Perform the needed actions.
To assign tag to a media display points or a group of points do one of the following:
- Open the desired element’s context menu and select "Tags"; in the window that opens, enter name(s) of one or more tags that should be assigned to media display points and click the "Add" button.
- using the "Select" button, select the elements you need and click the "Tags" button; in the window that opens, enter name(s) of one or more tags that should be assigned to media display points and click the "Add" button
Regardless of the method selected, the tags you have entered will be assigned to the selected elements. If any tag has been entered for the first time, it will be created.
If a tag is entered for a folder containing media display points, all media display points in this folder will be tagged with thus tag. This also applies to untagging.
To untag media display points or groups thereof, select the elements you need and click "Tags", than use untagging buttons in the window that opens.
The page enables you to search (filter) media display points and folders by specified parameters. To do this, use the corresponding menu and select the items you need. Contents of the page will be updated.
To take a screenshot:
- Select a media display point and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, click the corresponding button.
- Image are in the panel will be updated.
To update player software at media display points:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, open the context menu and select "Update player".
- In the window that opens confirm that you want to update player.
- Player updating process will start.
To reboot media display points:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, open the context menu and select "Reboot device".
- In the window that opens confirm that you want to reboot media display points.
- The selected media display points will be reloaded.
To restart player at media display points:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, open the context menu and select "Restart player".
- In the window that opens confirm that you want to restart player.
- The player will be relaunched.
To turn media display points off:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, open the context menu and select "Shutdown device".
- In the window that opens, confirm turning media display points off.
- The selected media display points will be turned off.
To view media display points logs:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, open the context menu and select "Log".
- You will be redirected to the "Monitoring" page (Monitoring), the content of which will be filtered by selected media display points.
To toggle notifications about problems at media display points:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, click the "Edit" button in the "Device running time" section and check the "Monitoring" box.
- Click "Save" to save the changes made.
- Information on any failures at the selected media display points will be sent to e-mail addresses specified in the settings (Settings).
To toggle notification off, uncheck the "Monitoring" box.
The page enables you to set running time for media display points. To set running time do the following:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, click the "Edit" button in the "Device running time" section and check boxes of those days of the week when the selected media display points should operate.
- In fields corresponding to days of the week enter the time period of media display points operation. If you need to use several time intervals within one day, use the adding buttons.
- Click the "Save" button to save the changes made.
- Running times will be set.
The page enables execution of control commands to media display points by schedule:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, click the "Edit" button in the "Schedule events" section.
- Use the menu to successively select the control command type, the command/setting, and the setting value (where applicable).
- Set the schedule for command execution. If you need immediate launch, check the "Execute immediately" box. If you need to delay execution and set frequency, uncheck the "Execute immediately" box and field the "Date" and "Time" fields appropriately. If necessary, select the periodicity type in the "Periodicity" field, then enter the desired value in the specification field.
- To execute the command click "Execute" or "Schedule".

The page enables you to set interval for periodic content download to media display points.
To set the download interval:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, click the "Edit" button in the "Download interval" section and check boxes of those days of the week when the selected media display points should download content.
- In fields corresponding to days of the week, enter the time period of media display points operation. If you need to use several time intervals within one day, use the adding buttons.
- In fields corresponding to days of the week, enter download speed limits (empty value means the speed is unrestricted). Use speed adjustment buttons for this.
- Click the "Save" button to save the changes made.
- The downloading interval will be set.
Attention! Download intervals and speed limits are ignored for Face Recognition extension download, which is necessary for availability of camera usage on your device. This extension needs to be downloaded once after the first installation of Addreality Player and takes about 125 Mb of disk space.
The page enables you to set parameters for data storage at media display points. Depending on your settings, temporary files stored at media display points will be automatically deleted when a certain volume is reached or their lifetime expires.
To set the storage parameters:
- Select one or more elements on the page and click "Properties".
- In the panel that opens, click the "Edit" button in the "Storage parameters" section, then uncheck the "Auto" box and enter desired values into the fields.
- Click the "Save" button to save the changes made.
- Data storage parameters will be set.
- To restore default parameters, check the "Auto" box and save changes.
